I was in a middle school jazz band and decided I wanted to sing jazz music so I went to Stevie for lessons, on a recommendation by our piano teacher. I immediately fell in love with classical singing, and within a few months I was singing in recitals, small ensembles and auditioning in competitions with her other students. Stevie has a gift for teaching and is incredibly smart at using metaphors to explain complex techniques, thus creating a solid core for her students. As a true artist, she instills a creative love for the art and has inspiring ideas for interpretation. She imparts a caring confidence in her students and is an incredible, compassionate human being."
