History of the Magic Voice Studio

Performing new works in Oakland

In 2020 students of MVS performed alongside college students at the NATS regional conference in Oakland California; a revue of Dr. Judith Cloud’s recent song collection “24 Italian songs for 21st Century singers”.

Bringing famous folks to the hometown

In 2013 MVS sponsored two Broadway composers, Carner and Gregor, who came to Arizona for a week to work with students at ASU, the U of A, and Pima as well as MVS students. Their visit culminated in a showcase of their work performed by the composers' selection of students.

MVS performs with a professional Opera company

In 2003, the Magic Voice Studio provided the children’s “gingerbread chorus” for Arizona opera’s production of Hansel and Gretel. This group of solo singers came together as an ensemble group and performed with the cast as professionals.
